Bester Mulauzi - Save the Children Country Director explaining the organization's strategic plan.
Bester Mulauzi - Save the Children Country Director: Save the children is the world’s largest independent organization working on children’s rights. As a key stakeholder working with children and communities, Save the children started working in Tanzania in 1986 on the island of Pemba in Zanzibar and later expanded its programming to Tanzania mainland
Save the Children partners with the Government of Tanzania, Civil society organizations local and international, communities and the private sector to implement child-friendly interventions in the areas of health and nutrition, child protection, education, child rights governance and livelihoods.
We work to advocate with children and for children to ensure they Survive, learn and are protected. We are also committed to children’s participation since we cannot discuss anything about children without Children and youth themselves.
This 2022-2024 CSP is responsive to the prevailing context- we have had political changes, internally and globally, covid-19, climate change resulting in failed rains, the war in Ukraine, and rising food pricess. All this requires strategic shifts and our new strategy fully aligns to that.
Our CSP has five main strategic goals involving a Healthy to start life, access to nutrition and health services for all, access to safe and inclusive quality education, to ensure Children are protected and their right are fulfilled, ensure Safety nets are available for most vulnerable and lastly to ensure Youth are included in decision making process at all level.
As an organization that delivers both humanitarian and development programs, it is critical to deliver our high impact programs to ensure that development made over the years is not lost. Feel free to reach out to Save the Children to explore opportunities and for partnership, guidance and collaboration.
Karibu Sana.
